THOR (Transgender Healthcare and Organising Resources) is a new collective for transgender people to share resources for activism and healthcare.

We aim to make a home for simple, accessible resources for trans people. Being a trans and/or nonbinary person is a lonely uphill struggle against the system – let’s make it less lonely. THOR wants to do more to fill the gaps and create radical, organised networks to spread information and connect international trans communities.

Ask us questions or submit us things! THOR is looking for:

Opportunities, jobs, scholarships, and activist initiatives for trans people

Personal experiences, strategies, events, and celebrations from activists

Up-to-date logistics of social and medical transition around the world

Simple summaries of useful legal, medical, and media information

Compilations of widely used resources for trans people like financial aid, healthcare providers, social networks, clothing shares, and legal support

DIY and how-to tutorials for trans media people, activists, and healthcare providers

Actually it stands for transition but fine I’ll use this instead. Black stands for dysphoria and transition. Nothing else.

Keep an eye out for this pride flag! If you encounter someone with this pride flag as their icon, do yourself a favor and block/report them. This is the MAP pride flag. For those who don’t know, MAP stands for Minor Attracted Person, more commonly known as a pedophile. The MAP community is filled with adults who openly admit to having sexual feelings towards children, and post about how they fantasize about underaged children. It’s sick and disgusting, and these depraved individuals try and use tumblr as a platform to normalize their perversions. They appropriate the experiences of the LGBT community by feigning systematic oppression, and comparing the rightful societal condemnation of pedophiles to the violent persecution of the LGBT community, which isn’t even remotely comparable. It’s honestly reprehensible that they’d take advantage of pride by making a flag like this. It’s incrediblly dangerous because unifying symbols such as this create a platform for pedophiles to prey on children, and spread pedophilia-enabling rhetoric. Please spread this around if you can, and if you are a minor, don’t bother interacting with these scumbags. It’s not worth putting yourself in danger to call these people out or try to get them to see the error of their ways. Stay safe everyone!

It looks like the “Creator” of the flag is @/dont-mistake-our-geography, she is an avid MAP supporter and possible MAP herself. She has her main blog in her title under “stennastims” which she says she’ll follow from! So, if you get followed from either! Block them!

trans dudes who like dudes, especially if you’re young and feeling real hopeless–don’t worry, it’ll happen. you CAN find a man who loves you–gross, mushy, sappy love–who’ll nurse you through your surgeries, cook dinner with you four or five times a week, whose body meshes just right against yours… who, years on, still stuns you with your shared vulnerability and trust, with his laugh, with how you can see the freckles in his eyes when your faces are pressed together; with how your skittish pulse slows in his arms, or that when you’re both half-asleep, he’ll press a kiss between your shoulderblades and pull you closer to him…

tl;dr: being a gay trans man doesn’t doom you to a life without love. hang in there.

update: it’s 2018. we’ve been together for 3.5 years and we’re now engaged. i have a job i love even though i don’t have enough hours and i’m getting bottom surgery this fall. i love my tiny gay family–this was our photo for our new year’s card (from last summer, my hair is to my shoulders now and i look dreamy as hell)–and it looks like winter is finally over and our apricot and nectarine trees are blooming and the garlic shoots in our garden are tall and so green and there’s daffodils in the backyard. i’m going to plant roses and some forsythia in the front once we get married.

if you don’t already, ask if he has any social media so u can add him, that’s a casual thing ppl do. maybe comment on/compliment his clothes or something he’s doing, even if it’s a little awkward you can laugh it off, but at least u made conversation y’know! ask what he’s doing or been doing this summer or week or weekend to start a lil chat, just get yourself out there and interact w him! it’s better to have made some efforts and be awkward than to have never took a chance at all! good luck lmao!
